LAS PREPOSICIONES EN INGLES PARA 4º Y 5º

LAS PREPOSICIONES 

Las preposiciones son una de las partes de la lengua inglesa que más cuesta aprender a los hablantes de lengua española. Así como en Español, son palabras que ayudan a darle a la oración un sentido mas claro y completo

 En ingles se utiliza cada preposición de acuerdo al acontecimiento que pueda presentarse, por ejemplo, existen proposiciones de tiempo, de lugar, de movimiento, etc..
 Las preposiciones pueden realizar distintas funciones:
- Servir de enlace entre dos palabras o distintos elementos en la oración
- Pueden acompañar a un verbo sirviendo de enlace a su complemento. 


Empecemos por diferenciar las tres preposiciones que causan mas confusion  en este idioma y son: AT...IN...ON

on (on) - sobre, en, encima de

• The children left their books on the table. Los niños dejaron sus libros sobre la mesa.
• He was standing on the corner waiting for her. El estaba parado en la esquina esperándola.
• There was a spider on the wall. Había una araña en la pared.

in (in) - en, dentro de

• What do you have in your mouth? ¿Qué tienes dentro de la boca?
• We spent a few days in Paris last year. Pasamos unos días en Paris el año pasado.
• There were two girls swimming in the river. Había dos chicas nadando en el río.

at (at) - en

• My parents are at work. Mis padres están en el trabajo.
• Bill is waiting for his girlfriend at the bus stop. Bill está esperando a su novia en la parada de autobús.
• The museum is at the end of this street. El museo está al final de esta calle.
